About IBK
My name is Ibukun Abejide, and I’m a Product Designer passionate about crafting impactful experiences. I began my journey by replicating designs, but today I create innovative solutions that serve both local and international markets.
Over the years, I’ve built expertise across diverse sectors; E-commerce, Healthcare, Finance, Fashion, AI, SaaS, Education, designing for both B2B and B2C products. What excites me most about design is bridging the gap between user needs and business goals: solving real problems for people while driving smart outcomes for companies.
Beyond design, I’m committed to giving back I’ve mentored over 100 aspiring designers, helping them take confident steps into the tech world.
My journey into the creative space
Before I became a Product Designer, I was a Customer Representative officer at the bank where I assisted a lot of customers in solving transaction and loan issues. I learnt how to communicate effectively and I also gained the trust of customers.
I love to evolve and face new challenges, that was why I transitioned into tech. Check out my recent interview on not just design podcast for more gist on my journey into tech.
My Achievements so far..
1. Helped over 100 people transition into tech across Africa and Europe.
2. Helped startups and scaleup expand their business growth.
3. Contributed to the development and implementation of a social media strategy for the RoadTrip Community.
